Hi, Cally! It's happening at Field also. One of the 2nd grade classes had nine kids, and one had 11 kids. Lots of sweet little bundles of germs!

At East too....in fact I was out with in 3 days last week...of course, tests, assessments are being done and things prepared for fall conferences, and so many kids out!

I had it already myself...nasty, nasty flu. So far, most of our kids are still in school and we're still at 95% attendance. We'll see if that changes. I hope you stay well Cally! I hope this passes soon!

Just ask Sue about that too...last week she had less than 10 kids...I am staying out of the 3rd grade hallway and thinking about starting to wear a mask and gloves!!! I dont let the kids in my room unless they use hand sanitizer, they clorox their desks everynight and I lysol everything even the pencils every day!!!! Yuck...I hope I dont get sick!!!!
Stay healthy everyone!!!!
I will give you a baby update on Wed!!!!

This is unbelievable! I had 5 kids out today and 2 that should have stayed home. I think I will take Janae's advice and start using Lysol and Clorox wipes nightly. Yikes! I wonder who decides if we have an epidemic; probably the Health Dept. Is anyone getting the H1N1 flu shot? I'm going to see if I can get one on Oct. 16 at AHS. What about the regular flu shot? What's your opinion about it?

Stay well!

Well, now I have H1N1 immunities built up thanks to last week.....I think if you have had flu shots and they work for you--go for it. I can't or rather won't do them because I always have allergic reactions. H1N1 is not any different than the other flu provided you are not a diabetic, cardiac patient, or have a shotty immune system....but I personally am leery of "new" medical things until there has been a lot of research data to prove them safe and effective. BTW--if the kids are coughing, they need to go home...that is one of the first symptoms of the flu!

This is going to be a long year! It's only October...we haven't even hit the peak for the flu season! Good luck to everyone at conferences!

This might be the year to get the flu shot. I kind of wish I had, but I've already had the flu now, so go figure. Now I have a sinus infection and terrible laryngitis. It's going to be a long winter. Take care of yourselves and go for the Clorox wipes...:)
